IMAGES can inspire when CREATIVITY escapes

Image
It occurred to me tonight, as we spring forward, that there are so many images and quotes that can inspire me.  Likely anyone for that matter. Whether you be an insomniac like I can be so many times, or an early riser in other parts, one can enjoy peaceful solitude or united solidarity with talented people of the world, from around the world. It should be impossible to feel lonely in this brave new world, where just about anything we do, is centered on a computer or television screens.  Our jobs, our entertainment, our creativity, our memories. Like so many others, life is in control.  It sometimes leaves gaps on the online world when you become enveloped with warmth from real life events, family, friends.   More often, you are in survival mode in the outside world:  juggling jobs, finances, commitments, obligations, taxes, crises, pushing dreams and goals to the bottom of the pressure broil of keeping things together, whether mentally exhaust...

Blow your horn. If nobody hears it.  No harm no foul. If somebody hears it and likes the beat of the drum. I figure nobody reads much unless renowned.  Then the thump of nations echo through all sounds.  So why not be engaged in laughter? From a giggle to a snort.  A way to evade the real world full of evil and dismay. If one can poke fun at oneself regardless of one's name. That is the gift of optimism. For the greater good. Join in music, hum along with heart. Who cares if anyone listens. You are becoming one with your heart that echoes within your soul. Do what YOU love. Regardless of acclaim. You do it because YOU love it. It doesn't need any fame. The glue that sticks us all together is filled with optimism and hope. Drowning out the empty noise  of anything of fame or violence or corruption. If we heed only the automatic reaction to the reflection of others grief. We are desperately trying to get relief from sorrow, ...

Oh dear, oh my .... my give a damn meter has been turned OFF!

SOURCE There are a few things that are really annoying me, but I am really trying to focus on trying to withdraw something positive from this whole experience.  One of the gifts wisdom has so wonderfully bestowed upon me is to try to turn EVERYTHING from wine (or whine) to vinegar (rinse out the anguish) to champagne!  (Pop, let it out.  Let er RIP!)   Well, giggle, snort ... very few people even read my blogs.  Like today, for instance!!  Geez, what a day of a hell on a week bouncing around WIRED.  This really young chap where I work came sauntering in today (yes, that is a great word even for someone not writing a novel or a script ... to be made into a play or a movie ... where she stars opposite that guy who plays the latest Superman and Man from U.N.C.L.E. dreamboat of "if I were 10 or 20 younger....).  I complimented him on his advancement which his chest puffed right out of when he then introduced his brother, whom he was escorting a...

Friday the 13th

Image
A tenth anniversary too Life can't get any more interesting than mulling over the fact that yesterday was my 10th Wedding Anniversary .... then it hit me that it WAS Friday the 13th.  My mom questioned the wisdom of getting married on the date with 13th.   Wouldn't that be bad luck? I reckoned that since my husband, the Hunkster Hubster, I affectionately call him was born on the 13th of December, you couldn't get any luckier than that, because 2x13=26 so it really isn't bad luck.  If you take his birth month and birth date, you get 25 (12+13) ... with mine as 22 (04+18) making him ODD and me even. A full moon risen to add intrigue to the insight, we have a beautiful winter moon.  It doesn't get more surreal than this:  a ghostly moon because of the artic air descended upon us, a fainted white.  From the reflection of the snow and crystals casting about a diamond glow. The future for sure How back then I probably imagined what our life woul...

GRATITUDE attitude loving numbers

I really don't think you can be an authentic writer without having some inner turmoil expounded through words.  If you think about it, some of the greatest writers EVER were tortured souls, with mental illness so relatively new and fearfully unknown to the general populace. Yet these creative geniuses are guiding those disciples, not diluted by online or social media noise.  Do you know anyone like that?  Someone whom exudes this creative, free spirit that is expressed through their gift that came through gratitude. What do I mean?  Other words of similar vibe would be humble.  A servant to their gift, and with that some demons. Well, let's see about this.  Who would I be thinking about?  Who comes immediately to mind?  For me, it is Ernest Hemingway, or F. Scott Fitzgerald.  To be totally honest, I just read the Great Gatzby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.  I did it last year when I knew there was a movie interpretation starring Le...

I've taken liberty of ideating that we re-acknowledge a new purpose: #F4F becomes "Favor 4 Favor" underground movement. Where the only currency is the exchange of a #F4F "Favor 4 Favor". No BITcoin or banking or finance can come beckoning. We are...

Be thankful AND giving

Canada celebrated its Thanksgiving Day just this past week in October.  We celebrate our day of thanks one month before our American neighbors to the south.  I've also referenced gratitude and such n such on my other blog: MeanderingsABOUT .... learning to live in the moment means we should be thankful every day.  I'm a newbie student adopter of #mindfulness.  Whew, so much to learn.   Looking for something that appeals to my creative senses and matches my quest for finding #bestofeverything .  I've tried to get people to start using the hashtag so that they and everyone really has one central hashtag that is used by the populace, not guided to promote their own self-serving results.  Who does that anyhow? Upon this Thanksgiving Season, be thoughtful while you are being thankful.  Who can you reach out to and make their day, showing them you are thankful for that special person in your life,...
