A queen of advice ...

Image
Sir BUDDY:  My sidekick and assistant  I wrote this a number of years ago. Thankfully, I can capture these thoughts and moods as they are dispersed into the universe, hoping optimistically, it can help others. My one daughter told me once:  some of her friends, read my blog for shits & giggles when they're drunk. I really haven't imparted that much advice over the years, if anything, sharing that as you enter your 50s, you are charting a new course in life.  No differently than the cliff to leap beyond becomes a metaphor for being at the tip toe point  before you jump :: into a relationship, a new job, a difficult decision, financial security. I haven't written on this blog for quite some time:  I've been dabbling (cheating on this blog) with creating my own domain website - more than once with different providers (I will write about later), sidestepping to Wordpress (which turned out to be less blogger friendly than anticipa...

A good person wanting to be great

Well, if you happen to have a family that includes me (oh dear) a stepdaughter (oh my) and a diva daughter (sigh) ....... then there is the youngest daughter whom I never seem to get into spats with at all.  How is this possible?   Heck, find my THISnTHAT playlist on iTUNES.  I'm just playing SHUFFLE and amazed at what a selection.  Sometimes we even surprise ourselves eh? ...

IMAGES can inspire when CREATIVITY escapes

Image
It occurred to me tonight, as we spring forward, that there are so many images and quotes that can inspire me.  Likely anyone for that matter. Whether you be an insomniac like I can be so many times, or an early riser in other parts, one can enjoy peaceful solitude or united solidarity with talented people of the world, from around the world. It should be impossible to feel lonely in this brave new world, where just about anything we do, is centered on a computer or television screens.  Our jobs, our entertainment, our creativity, our memories. Like so many others, life is in control.  It sometimes leaves gaps on the online world when you become enveloped with warmth from real life events, family, friends.   More often, you are in survival mode in the outside world:  juggling jobs, finances, commitments, obligations, taxes, crises, pushing dreams and goals to the bottom of the pressure broil of keeping things together, whether mentally exhaust...
